On Thursday, July 14, the DC Bar will offer Antitrust Investigations: Tactical and Ethical Issues, to discuss ethical and tactical issues that often arise in antitrust investigations.
It will run from 4:00 to 7:15 p.m. at the Bar Conference Center, 1101 K Street NW in Washington, DC.
A panel of experienced prosecutors and defense counsel will cover the following concerns: false statements, obstruction, and similar issues arising with companies and witnesses in criminal antitrust investigations; lessons learned from recent corporate misconduct prosecutions; ethical issues raised by the existence of the government's amnesty and "amnesty-plus" programs for companies and individuals; issues relating to the retention, handling and production of documents in investigations with an international dimension; and what rules govern and how the rules change for investigative efforts abroad.
Among the speakers are Kathryn Fenton, Jones Day; Donald Klawiter, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP; and Ann O'Brien, antitrust division, U.S. DOJ.
