DC Bar Plans Seminar On Derivatives

The DC Bar Association this month is planning a CLE seminar titled Understanding Derivatives in Project and Structured Finance Transactions.

The program will take place on Tuesday, April 17 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

This program will explore the fundamentals of derivatives (including key deal drivers, documentation issues, and market participants), how derivatives are typically used in project and structured finance transactions (including how derivative products compare to alternative risk mitigants), and traps for the unwary in derivative transactions. In addition, the faculty will discuss issues specific to the four derivative products most commonly used in project and structured finance transactions: interest rate, currency, commodity price, and credit derivatives.

Speakers are Janice R. Moore, McGuireWoods LLP, and Todd R. Coles, Troutman Saunders LLP.
