DC Bar Plans Lobbying Seminar

The DC Bar Association will present a CLE seminar titled Beyond Smoke Filled Rooms and Lavish Lunches: Lobbying in the 110th Congress.

The program will take place on Tuesday, August 14 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

This course examines actual case studies of lobbying efforts presented to lawyers who work with Capitol Hill and have successfully navigated legislation through Congress. The faculty will provide an interesting and insightful view of the role that lawyers play in developing federal legislation. There will be some discussion of the strategies and tactics that have been effective in advocating on behalf of clients.

Speakers will be Irene B. Bueno, Nueva Vista Group LLP, and Monte B. Lake, McGuiness Norris & Williams LLP.
