DC Bar Covers The Essential Checklist For E-Discovery

The DC Bar Association is hosting a timely CLE event titled the Essential Checklist for Electronic Discovery.

The program will be held on Thursday, May 13, and is located at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1101 K. Street NW in Washington, DC. It will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude by 4:30 p.m.

Attendees will be given a highly practical guide on the proper management of discoverable information stored in electronic formats. This session will review the governing procedural rules and legal opinions that are shaping the current legal landscape and offer practical advice for requesting, producing, and working with electronically stored information in discovery at trial.

The panelists will also discuss formal discovery requests and responses, protocols for the production of e-mail and other electronically stored information, cost-shifting, Rule 37 sanctions, and spoliation. Each participant will be provided with a sample checklist and forms for use by both requesting and responding parties.

The seminar will presented by John Facciola, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and Conrad Jacoby of Efficient EDD.
