Holland & Knight has bolstered its Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group with the addition of David Ehrlich as a partner in New York.
Mr. Ehrlich focuses his practice on advising financial sponsors and corporate clients on a broad range of complex transactional and investment execution matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising and deployment activities, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, commercial transactions, operational counseling, corporate reorganizations and general corporate governance. He has worked with clients across a number of sectors and industries, including defense technology, aerospace, government services, space launch, cybersecurity, telecommunications, logistics and supply chain management, and industrials, among others. He was previously counsel with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, where he focused his practice on private equity and strategic transactions.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Ehrlich served as chief counsel and investment committee member for Battle Investment Group, a private investment firm focused on control investments in the North American defense, government, aerospace, telecommunications and critical infrastructure sectors. In that role, Mr. Ehrlich was responsible for all legal and compliance activities for the investment firm and its partnerships, funds, investment vehicles and portfolio companies.
"David represents an exciting opportunity for the firm to grow its transactional depth in the Northeast and to expand the scope of offerings we provide our private equity clients in New York," said Amy Leder, executive partner of Holland & Knight's New York office and co-chair of the firm's Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group in the Northeast region. "His firsthand experience advising investment firms, their funds and their operating companies will be especially valuable to a wide range of our clients."
"I am very excited to bring my practice to Holland & Knight. The growth of Holland & Knight's corporate practice in New York and its reputation in middle-market private equity transactions are particularly exciting to me. I look forward to supporting my colleagues and to continuing to grow my practice with the help of Holland & Knight's national platform," Mr. Ehrlich said.
Mr. Ehrlich received a J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and a B.A. degree from Furman University. He previously served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves as a logistics officer.
