Paul Hastings LLP announced today that David Broderick, a leader in complex real estate transactions, has joined the firm as a partner in New York.
Broderick’s diverse experience ranges from debt and equity transactions and workouts to structured financings, including mortgage, bridge, and mezzanine financing, construction lending, debt syndication, and preferred equity. He has advised financial institutions, real estate investment trusts, and asset managers including Apollo’s real estate credit business, Walton Street Capital, Macquarie Capital, and BrightSpire Capital.
“David is a terrific addition to our strong real estate finance practice. Given his ability to structure innovative complex real estate transactions, he will benefit our premier real estate clients around the world,” said firm Chair Frank Lopez. “We’re also excited by the synergies that his practice will create with our overall platform, including our strong network of asset managers, REITs, and institutional lenders.”
Broderick’s practice also focuses on UCC public actions, and intercreditor/co-lender and partnership disputes, loan securitization, private equity asset level transactions, asset management, and bankruptcies. His extensive real estate experience includes real estate fund formations, sale/leaseback transactions, and real estate-related litigation matters.
“I look forward to working with the exceptional real estate and structured finance practices at Paul Hastings,” said Broderick. “There’s so much potential to do wonderful things with my new colleagues for the firm’s clients and my own – I can’t wait to get started,” said Broderick.
