Cooley advised ThoughtSpot, an artificial intelligence-powered analytics company, on its definitive agreement to acquire Mode Analytics, a business intelligence platform, for $200 million. Partners David Ambler and Rishab Kumar led the Cooley team advising ThoughtSpot.
The acquisition will combine ThoughtSpot and Mode Analytics’ technologies, allowing data teams to transform business intelligence with generative AI and improve businesses quickly, securely and at scale. ThoughtSpot also will increase its annual recurring value to more than $150 million while doubling its customer base, since there is little customer overlap.
Cooley previously advised ThoughtSpot on its Series F financing round in November 2021.
