Conference Will Examine Telecom/Cable/Wireless Developments

The University of Texas School of Law has scheduled its 10th Annual Telecom, Cable and Wireless Conference.

The program will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 13 and 14 at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel, Austin, TX. Sessions will run from 8:50 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Speakers will address topics such as: Entering the Era of Everything Over Broadband; Legal Issues Facing Cable and Video Providers From the Perspective of Incumbents and New Entrants; Regulatory and Policy Issues Facing Voice and Broadband Providers; Winners, Losers and Investments in the Telecom Sector; Case Law Update; State Universal Service Issues, and Fees and Taxes - Don't You Just Love 'Em?

Among the speakers are Todd A. Baxter, Texas Cable & Telecommunications Association; William J. Chriss, Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism; Paul Hudson, commissioner, Texas Public Utility Commission, and J. Greg Sidak, former deputy general counsel, Criterion Economics LLC.
