Conference Will Examine Securities Regulation Developments

The University of Texas School of Law is planning its 30th Annual Conference on Securities Regulation and Business Law.

The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, February 7 and 8 at the Belo Mansion, 2101 Ross Avenue, Dallas. Sessions will run from 8:50 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the first day and from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on the second day.

Among the discussion topics will be: Enforcement Efforts: SEC and State Targets; Internal Controls and 404 Guidance: Operational Issues and Board Perspectives; Executive Compensation Proxy Statement Disclosures; Privilege, Confidentiality and Work Product Issues for Business and Securities Lawyers, and Organizing and Advising Special Committees.

Among the speakers will be Rose Linda Romero, SEC; David Keyes, Winstead PC; the Hon. Myron Steele, chief justice, Supreme Court of Delaware, and Mary O'Conner and Orrin L. Harrison, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
