Colorado Bar Association Plans Five Days Of Mediation Training

The Colorado Bar Association (CBA) this month is offering 40-Hour Mediation Training.

The five-day program will take place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Friday and Saturday, January 18, 19, 20, 26 & 27 at the CBA-CLE Classroom, 1900 Grant Street, Denver. Sessions will run from 8:25 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day and from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each succeeding day.

Among the discussion topics will be: How Mediators Diagnose the Causes of Conflict; Conflict Styles; What Brings You to the Mediation Table; The Art of Reframing: Dealing With Threats, Demands and Other Toxic Language; Using the Mediation Caucus: When the Mediator Should Meet Privately With Each Party; Coaching Parties to Raise Conflict Constructively; Cultural Issues in Mediation, and Power Issues in Mediation.

Among the speakers are Patrick P. Kenney, Kenney & Kall Mediation Services, and Joseph P. McMahon Jr., Joseph P. McMahon Jr. LLC.
