CO Bar Schedules Spring Securities Conference

The Colorado Bar Association has scheduled its Annual Rocky Mountain Securities Conference on Friday, May 7, from 7:55 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Marriott City Center Hotel, 1701 California Street in Denver.

Video replays will be available on May 26 in Denver, Grand Junction and Colorado Springs.

The conference will offer attendees SEC and regional enforcement authorities discussing national developments, corporate governance issues, and best defense practices in these changing market conditions. Among the topics are practical steps toward maintaining business, management and sanity; best defense practices in a challenging enforcement environment; mutual funds, broker dealers and investment advisors: risks and approaches to a changing marketplace; and ethics in todays high-pressure environment.

Among the presenters, all professionals who are known throughout the securities profession, are Elisse B. Walter, commissioner of the SEC; Harvey Pitt, former SEC chairman; and Carlo di Florio, director, Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations, SEC.
