CO Bar Hosts Annual Private Equity Conference

The Colorado Bar Association will hold its Annual Private Equity Conference on Friday, January 21, at the CBA-CLE Classroom, 1900 Grant Street in Denver. It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and a live webcast will be available.

Equity and debt markets frozen since 2008 have begun to thaw, and valuations across asset classes have stabilized and begun to rise. Private equity deals might have changed shape since previous years and they are helping to drive the investment markets again.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the various financial sectors and which industries are doing best; how deals are being funded and how you can make deals work with less leverage and use historically low rates; how prices are being negotiated and what to do when buyer and seller reach an impasse; how new funds are being structured and the protective features LPs are demanding in the new climate; the new opportunities for private equity funds afterDodd-Frank; and after the midterm elections, the new taxes or regulatory developments you can expect.

Among the speakers are Luke Duster, Capital Royalty, L.P.; Nathaniel G. Ford, Perkins Coie, LLP; and Tyler Tysdal, Satori Capital.
