CO Bar Continues Its Water Law Series

On Friday, September 24, the Colorado Bar Association will offer the second course in a series that is related to the major river basins in Colorado titled Water Resources, Issues and Administration of the Colorado River Basin.

It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the CLECI Large Classroom, 1900 Grant Street in Denver.

The course has been designed for all professionals in the water rights arena - attorneys, engineers, expert witnesses, water resources managers and others who wish to practice in the Water Court for Water Division 5 dealing with water matters in the Colorado River Basin. This segment will cover the law of the River, current issues and events in the Basin, the Endangered Fish Recovery Program, the Colorado River Water Availability Study, and the Colorado River Roundtable.

Speakers include Ray Alvarado, section chief, Colorado Water Conservation Board; Peter Fleming, general counsel, Colorado River District; and David Taussig, White & Jankowski LLP.
