Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Chris Schulte has joined the firm as a Partner in Washington, DC. His arrival expands the firm’s capabilities in the Agriculture industry on the East Coast and bolsters the firm’s Government Affairs team.
Schulte joins from an international AmLaw 200 firm where he advised and litigated on behalf of agricultural and seasonal employers on business immigration and employment matters, including wage and hour, and H-2A and H-2B non-immigrant worker program compliance matters. At Fisher Phillips, he will leverage this experience to help grow the firm’s bi-coastal Agriculture team that advises growers, shippers, packers, producers, ag-tech companies, farms, and industry associations in connection with all labor and employment law needs. Part of Schulte’s practice includes advocating before Congress and Federal agencies on immigration, agriculture, labor, energy, and insurance issues – a service that he will offer through the firm’s growing Government Relations team.
“The agriculture industry faces unique workplace challenges that require a 360-degree view of the myriad of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to employers across the country,” said Schulte. “Fisher Phillips provides an excellent national platform for me to grow my practice in the agriculture industry while simultaneously advocating for my clients in Washington, D.C., and keeping them abreast of forthcoming laws and regulations. I am eager to jump in and provide immediate value to the firm’s growing Government Relations team in Washington, D.C., and help expand the firm’s Agriculture offerings.”
Schulte earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A., cum laude, from Harvard University.
