On Wednesday, May 6, the Charlotte, N.C. chapter of the American Corporate Counsel will host a seminar titled 2009 Employment Law Update. The event will begin at noon and conclude at 2 p.m. at Byron's South End, 101 West Worthington Avenue, Charlotte.
The U.S. Supreme Court's 2008-2009 term has already produced a number of significant casesinvolving employment law and employee benefits issues that have direct implications for employers. This seminar intends to inform attendees as to how the key decisions from this term will affect their company's HR and risk management policies and practices. The agenda will also consider important new legislation, regulations and executive orders that will dramatically alter the landscape for employers.
