Boston Seminar Examines Trends In Class Actions

On Thursday, January 13, The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) is offering a program to look at the complex issues and emerging trends in class action litigation.It starts at 4:00 p.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m. at the offices of the MBA, 20 West Street in Boston.

Join the MBA for an update on current trends and recent developments in state and federal class action litigation. The session will offer perspectives from both plaintiff and defense counsel. Topics under discussion include the following:evolving federal standards for class certification; communications with putative class members; strategic differences between state and federal court; multistate class actions; collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act; class arbitration; and issues arising in settlement.
