Boston Bar Plans Seminar On ChoiceOf Forum For Business Litigation

The Boston Bar Association (BBA) this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Business Litigation: Federal or State Court.

The program will take place on Thursday, December 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the BBA Conference Center, 16 Beacon Street, Boston.

Deciding whether to litigate in federal court or state court is an important decision that is often insufficiently thought through. An interactive panel, including judges and experienced trial attorneys, will explore the key issues that should be considered when deciding where to litigate a business case. Attendees will learn what factors to weigh, as well as the advantages of each forum.

The program co-chairs are Edward S. Cheng, Sherin and Lodgen LLP, and Sanford F. Remz, Yurko, Salvesen & Remz, P.C. Other speakers will be the Hon. Patti B. Saris, U.S. District Court for Massachusetts; the Hon. Allan van Gestel, Massachusetts Superior Court; John G. Fabbiano, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, and Richard J. Yurko, Yurko Salvesen.
