Boston Bar Association Helps Lawyers Master Social Media

On Tuesday, May 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Boston Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association are hosting a free social media workshop at the Boston Bar Association's conference center, 16 Beacon Street in Boston. The workshop features Professor Sree Sreenivasan of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where he has been on the faculty for nearly two decades. One of the foremost digital media experts in the world, Mr. Sreenivasan specializes in explaining technology to non-techies. He is a contributing editor at DNAinfo.com, a Manhattan news startup he helped launch in 2009 (with Joe Ricketts, founder of Ameritrade and new owner of the Chicago Cubs & Wrigley Field) and makes frequent appearances on CNN, NBC's Today Show and elsewhere. Last year he was named to Poynter.org's list of 35 most influential people in social media and the Society of Professional Journalists' list of 20 journalists to follow on Twitter.
