Lana A. Olson of Birmingham, Alabama was elected Secretary-Treasurer of DRI-The Voice of the Defense Bar at the organization’s annual meeting in San Francisco. Established in 1960, DRI is the largest organization in the country to exclusively represent defense bar attorneys. As secretary-treasurer, Olson is a member of DRI’s Executive Committee.
Ms. Olson has been a member of DRI for eighteen years. She has chaired or been a member of eighteen DRI committees and task forces including the Toxic Torts and Environmental Law, Trial Tactics, Drug and Medical Device, Employment Law, and Women in the Law Committees. She has been a member of DRI’s Board of Directors since 2015. Ms. Olson has been a speaker or moderator at sixteen DRI seminars.
Ms. Olson is a partner at Lightfoot Franklin & Wright LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Although based in Alabama, Ms. Olson has defended clients across the country including those in Louisiana, Kentucky, Florida, Michigan, Texas, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. Those clients range from Fortune 100 multi-national companies to small family businesses.
