Bar Association Of San Francisco Trains Lawyers For Housing Project

The Bar Association of San Francisco will offer a CLE session to train lawyers for VLSP's Housing Negotiation Project on Tuesday, March 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The training will be held at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.

VLSP's Housing Negotiation Project is a limited-scope project that provides representation to individuals and families facing eviction. Representation is limited to settlement conferences only. HNP is the first pro bono project of its kind and is a project in which every single person in need of representation has a pro bono attorney. Volunteer shifts are Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. During one shift, a volunteer will represent up to three clients. This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers to gain valuable negotiation experience without a large time commitment. Volunteers must attend the training and then must commit to four afternoon sessions within six months.
