AZ Bar Seminar To Explore Basic Employment Law Issues

The State Bar of Arizona is planning a CLE program that will present employment law issues at a basic and intermediate level.

Titled Back to Basics on Employment Law Issues, the six-hour session will take place on Friday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Orange Tree Golf Resort, Scottsdale, AZ.

The seminar will explore such issues as individual liability of supervisors and homeowners, a practical overview of the ADA and FMLA and how they interact with workers' compensation, legally dealing with absenteeism and other employee misconduct, and an overview of Title VII and ACRA claims for discrimination based on race, gender, religion, national origin, sexual harassment and retaliation.

The faculty co-chairs are Bobbie Koller and William Sheldon, both of SCF Arizona. Denise Blommel, Denise Blommel, PLLC, and Steve Guttell, Gust Rosenfeld PLC, also will present.
