The Arkansas Bar Association this month will present its 11th Annual Environmental Law Conference.

The two-day program will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 4 and 5 at the Inn of the Ozarks, 207 West Van Buren, Eureka Springs, AR.

Among the topics to be examined are: Arkansas Natural Resources Commission Update; Lessons Learned: Fashioning a Groundwater Protection Regime; Global Warming: ChangingWeather, Changing Attitudes, Changing Laws; The Iowa Farm Bureau Carbon Credit Aggregation Program, and Assessing Damage to Biodiversity: Challenges Arising From the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.

Among the speakers are Randy Thurman, executive director, Arkansas Environmental Federation; Teresa Marks, director, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality; Charles R. Zimmerman, vice president-prototype and new format development, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and Ronald B. Meyers, assistant professor of environmental policy, education and ethics, Clinton School of Public Service.
