Arizona Bar Explores CommonEthics Hotline Inquiries

The State Bar of Arizona has developed a webcast titled Ethics 911: Inside the Ethics Hotline to explore the most common inquiries to the stare bar ethics hotline. It is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

You can attend the webcast in person in Phoenix or Tucson, or you can participate via simultaneous webcast from your home or office. The Phoenix location is the State Bar of Arizona, 4201 N. 24th Street, and the Tucson location is the Southern Regional Office, 320 S. Convent.

The seminar format will use hypotheticals based on the most common inquiries to the state bar about the top eight subject areas of hotline calls: all sorts of conflicts, client confidentiality, terminating representation, reporting misconduct, safekeeping property, fees, unauthorized practice of law, and communicating with a represented person.

Among the faculty, all seasoned members of the state bar's committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct, are Andrew S. Jacob, Shughart Thomson & Kilroy; Angela Napper, state bar assistant ethics counsel; and Anna M. Unterberger, Maricopa County Public Defender's Office.
