Annual Conference Will Explore Legal Diversity In Colorado

The Colorado Bar Association and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law will present Rocky Mountain Legal Diversity Summit 07.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Invesco Field at Mile High, Denver.

Discussions will cover: Issues Facing Diverse Attorneys; Best Practices for Hiring and Retaining Diverse Attorneys; The Business Case for Diversity; How to Access Diverse Law Firms and Legal Departments, etc.

Among the speakers will be Susan Hackett, senior vice president and general counsel, ACC; Veta Richardson, executive director, Minority Corporate Counsel Association; Richard N. Baer, executive vice president and general counsel, Qwest Communications International, Inc.; William Lowrey, associate general counsel, Shell Oil Company, and the Hon. Mary J. Mullarkey, chief justice, Colorado Supreme Court.
