Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today the arrival of partner Angela Hsu to its Real Estate department in Atlanta. Hsu was most recently a partner in the Real Estate practice group of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP).
Hsu primarily represents a broad range of public and private companies in transactional matters, including commercial real estate, joint ventures and acquisitions and divestitures.
“Angela’s skills and experience in handling real estate transactional matters will further enhance our broad-based national real estate offering,” said Paul P. Mattingly, chair of Seyfarth’s Real Estate department. “With the extraordinary growth of our national real estate practice, Angela is an important addition to our team, and we are thrilled to have her.”
Prior to joining BCLP, Hsu was the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity, the Vice President-Legal at Duke Realty Corporation and a board member of Sunrise Bank of Atlanta. She will work closely with Richard (“Rick”) White and Jason DeJonker, who joined Seyfarth last month from BCLP.
“Angela is one of the most respected practitioners and business leaders in Atlanta, and we are delighted to have her join our team here as we continue to grow strategically with talented attorneys in our leading practice areas,” said Steven L. Kennedy, managing partner of Seyfarth’s Atlanta office.
In addition to her active real estate practice, Hsu’s professional affiliations include the Emory University School of Law Advisory Board, Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity, Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Westminster Schools Board of Trustees, Atlanta Chapter of the International Women’s Forum, State Bar of Georgia Commission on Continuing Legal Competency, and the AAPI Crime Victims & Education Fund.
“I couldn’t be more excited to start the next chapter of my career at Seyfarth,” said Hsu. “The firm’s national real estate practice is the ideal place for me to grow my practice and service my growing client base. I look forward to working alongside this very talented group of colleagues.”
Hsu received her JD from Emory University School of Law and her BA with honors from University of California, Berkeley. She is admitted to the Georgia Bar.
