King & Spalding announced today that Andrew Calica has joined the firm as a partner in its Product Liability and Mass Torts practice group. Calica is based in the firm’s New York office.
Calica focuses his practice on representing companies in complex product liability and mass and class action litigation across several industries, including chemicals and pharmaceuticals. In addition, Calica has represented financial institutions in antitrust and commodities litigation, and in a variety of commercial disputes involving financial products, contracts and accounting, including at trial.
“Andrew is a polished and savvy lawyer with established relationships that will allow him to immediately add significant value to the firm and our product liability practice,” said Tracie Renfroe, co-leader of the firm’s Product Liability and Mass Torts practice group. “By welcoming Andrew to our team, we also add depth and breadth with his diverse skillset – which in addition to product liability includes commercial litigation and banking and finance litigation – and continue growing our roster of top litigators in New York.”
Calica joins King & Spalding from Mayer Brown, where he was a partner. He received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from Wesleyan University, Phi Beta Kappa.
“I am excited to hit the ground running at King & Spalding, collaborating with my new colleagues, many of whom I have worked alongside for years,” said Calica. “King & Spalding is a leader in my practice areas and boasts a top-notch team, which makes it the ideal place to bring my experience and relationships to help propel the practice and firm even further and contribute to the culture of growth in New York.”
