Amy Morrissey Turk has rejoined McGuireWoods as a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Department after 11 years at Dollar Tree Inc., a Fortune 150 discount variety retailer.
Turk returns to the firm’s Norfolk office, where she practiced before joining Dollar Tree’s legal department in 2007. As assistant general counsel, she oversaw all legal employment matters for the company and its subsidiaries, including litigation, agency claims and arbitration. She also provided compliance and strategic guidance to executive and field management teams in both the retail and distribution divisions.
Turk directed Dollar Tree’s litigation strategy in all employment matters, including Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions in California and nationwide class and collective actions involving discrimination claims and wage-and-hour disputes.
During her previous tenure at McGuireWoods, Turk represented clients’ management teams in all facets of employment litigation and also handled a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.
