American Conference Institute DC Conference: Compliance Issues And The FCPA

Join the American Conference Institute for a two-day in-depth examination of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The conference will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, November 8 and 9, at the Gaylord National Resort, 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, Maryland and will run from 8:30 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. both days. There are also pre- and post-conference workshops on Monday and Thursday.

Participants will be updated on the latest developments in regulatory and compliance matters relating to the FCPA. A distinguished faculty will provide advanced and practical insights on current FCPA enforcement initiatives and global anti-corruption compliance strategies.

The program has been designed with the new normal in mind. Topics include the SEC's adoption of the final whistleblower reward and protection rules; recent judicial decisions under the FCPA; the growing relevance of foreign bribery laws, including the UK Bribery Act; and the commitment by other countries to join the U.S. in investigating and prosecuting corruption as well as other game-changing compliance developments. A view from both the U.S. and the UK bench will be led by Hon. A. Howard Matz, Federal District Court judge, U.S. District Court, Central District of California and The Right Hon. Lord Justice Anthony Hughes, vice president of the Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, Royal Courts of Justice.

The keynote speakers are Hon. Lanny A. Breuer, assistant attorney general, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice; Robert Khuzami, director, Division of Enforcement, U.S. SEC; and Denis McInerney, chief, Fraud Section, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice.
