AlixPartners builds its turnaround and restructuring with the return of Dr. Rainer Bizenberger as managing director

AlixPartners continues to build its strong position in turnaround and restructuring with the return of Dr. Rainer Bizenberger to the firm’s Germany practice as a managing director.

Dr. Bizenberger brings more than two decades of experience in implementing complex international turnaround and restructuring programs, both in advisory and management roles. He has particular expertise in strategic transformation, as well as operational and financial restructuring.

Dr. Bizenberger joins from EY, where as Head of Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy he was responsible for the expansion in EMEIA. He also spent 16 years at the management consultancy Roland Berger, most recently as Senior Partner in the Restructuring and Corporate Finance division and Head of the Berlin office. Dr. Bizenberger holds a PhD in Innovative Corporate Finance from the University of Rostock. He also holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management degree from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
