AlixPartners strengthens EMEA restructuring team with new hire, managing director, Dr. Karsten Lafrenz

AlixPartners announces that Dr. Karsten Lafrenz has joined as a managing director. He will focus on developing and delivering business transformation strategies for the firm’s turnaround and restructuring clients in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as well as the wider EMEA region.

Dr. Lafrenz brings more than 20 years of global experience as an advisor and chief transformation officer across a wide range of industry sectors with particular experience in consumer industries. He joins AlixPartners from McKinsey & Co., where he was a Partner and leader of the consumer service line of McKinsey Transformation in EMEA. Previously, Dr. Lafrenz was a Partner in the Restructuring & Corporate Performance Competence Center at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He holds a Ph.D. from Europa-University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from the University of Münster, and a Master of Science in Finance from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, UK.
