Paul Hastings LLP announced today that Adele Maloney has joined the firm as general counsel, based in the firm’s New York office.
Maloney joins from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she served as deputy assistant general counsel. She assumed her role in the general counsel’s office in 2018 and, prior to this, was a partner in the Corporate Department.
“We’re excited to welcome Adele to the firm as we focus on continuing to evolve with exceptional talent. Her experience as a premier and thoughtful practitioner, coupled with her time in the general counsel’s office, make her an outstanding and dynamic addition to our team,” said firm Chair Frank Lopez.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled about this rare opportunity to join such an extraordinary firm with incredibly talented people, market-leading practices, and an incredible trajectory,” said Maloney.
Maloney succeeds Mark Pollack, who has announced his retirement. He joined Paul Hastings as a litigation partner in 2011 and became the firm’s general counsel in 2021. He will remain with the firm for a period to assist with the transition.
“We thank Mark for his years of service to the firm and valued guidance,” commented Lopez.
