ACC's South Florida Chapter Contributes To National Public Lands Day

In September, the Association of Corporate Counsel supported the National Public Lands Day as a way for in-house counsel to give back to their community by helping to preserve local parks and other lands. Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy.

Joining the national effort, volunteers from ACC's South Florida Chapter contributed their muscle power by planting and renourishing trees, beach and nature trails at John Lloyd Beach State Park. In addition to contributing labor, the chapter delivered a $3,000 check to enable park officials to pursue further preservation efforts.

As well as providing a great venue for in-house attorneys to see long-time friends and make new connections with their peers, the event featured a catered box lunch at Loggerhead Caf and fun beach activities. The event was made possible through the generous support of Special Counsel, Jackson Lewis LLP and Clarke Silverglate & Campbell, P.A.
