The San Diego ACC chapter has scheduled an October MCLE event, Doing Business in EuropeHot Topics for Global Counsel, on Thursday, October 14.
The event will run from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., at DLA Piper, 4365 Executive Drive, Suite 1100 in San Diego.
This program is a unique opportunity for attorneys to hear European lawyers discuss key legal risks that global counsel managing business operations in Europe face. It brings together a cross-practice panel of European lawyers from the global law firm DLA Piper. They will discuss how European legal frameworks impact effective business operating strategies in 2010, with the following main areas in mind: protecting and acquiring the best staff and managing team moves in Europe; cross-border corporate merger and acquisition strategies; privacy, data security, and computing in the cloud - a uniquely European perspective; and managing disputes to secure business assets and minimize loss.
