The ACC Mountain West Chapter has scheduled a cocktail and service event titled Get Served on Tuesday evening, August 3.
This is an annual national community service day event that gives in-house counsel an opportunity to give something back to their community.
It will be held at the URS Corporation, 720 Park Blvd. in Boise, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
This year, the chapter will be supporting SNAPS, the Idaho foster organization well known for their Wednesday's Child segments. Children can enter the foster care system at any time and often do so without their possessions, and they often face the transition to a new school. At this cocktail social hour event, volunteers will fill backpacks with school supplies to be given to these children throughout the year. They might also want to donate the school supplies, such as rulers, pencils, scissors, erasers, notebooks, pens and paper.
