The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) announced the establishment of a new membership committee, the Sports & Entertainment Committee. This group will serve members with an interest in sports and entertainment law and will focus on such areas as contracts, licensing, sponsorships, endorsements, intellectual property and technology.
“We are excited about the opportunity to create a new platform for in-house counsel to share best practices in these industries -- all while developing much needed industry-specific resources,” stated Norman Wain, chair of the Sports & Entertainment Committee and general counsel, chief of business affairs for USA Track & Field.
In addition to Mr. Wain, the committee’s leadership includes Emily Roisman, vice president and corporate counsel for Feld Entertainment, Inc.; Kathleen Rodin, assistant general counsel for Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, LLC; Courtney Lewis, legal counsel for Phoenix Coyotes; Kristin McQueen, senior vice president for Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment; and David Cohen, director of legal affairs and risk management for Angels Baseball LP.
