ABCNY Readies Diversity Conference

The Association of the Bar of the City of New York (ABCNY) this month is planning its Second Annual Diversity Conference under the title Making Heads Count: Accountability for Legal Employers.

The conference will take place on Monday, June 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York City.

This year's symposium will focus on leadership and accountability both from the individual's and the organization's perspective. The conference will feature:

  • A dynamic and interactive session led by Steve Young of Insight Education on addressing the subtle underlying behaviors that stand in the way of a diverse and inclusive workplace;
  • A panel discussion featuring Deborah Holmes of Ernst & Young LLP discussing the successful model of the accounting firm in cultivating diversity champions and instituting accountability mechanisms.
