ABA President Stephen N. Zack was one of six recipients of the prestigious Legal Legends Award, given by the HistoryMiami's 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society on November 20. This honor is bestowed upon legal professionals who have committed at least 25 years to South Florida's legal system.
President Zack's civic activities in his home state include working as special counsel to Governor Bob Graham, acting as chair of the State of Florida State Ethics Commission and serving as member of the Florida Constitutional Revision Commission.President Zack has also chaired the City of Miami Beach Charter Review Commission and the Environmental Commission for the City of Miami.He is a former legislative aide to U.S. Rep. Claude Pepper, and former member of the Orange Bowl Committee and of the Public Health Trust.
President Zack is former chair of the Florida Ethics Committee and member of the 11th Circuit (Miami-Dade County) Judicial Nominating Committee for the Southern District.He was the first Hispanic-American and youngest president of the Florida Bar.
