Since its inception in 2002, The Antitrust Masters Course has provided several hundreds of mid-level antitrust lawyers with a unique, intensive antitrust learning experience. Over four mornings, attendees are exposed to all facets of substantive antitrust law - horizontal and vertical restraints, mergers, cartels, distribution, and unilateral conduct issues - by three of the top antitrust professors in the United States. Over two afternoons, students participate in workshops led by expert practitioners who will help them apply the law to real life client problems. And, over three lunches and three dinners, senior government enforcers and legendary practitioners will round out the training by discussing competition policy and its applications, as well as providing advice on how to become an accomplished antitrust lawyer. This setting also affords attendees the opportunity to network with these experts in a hospitable environment, as well as get to know their colleagues in the antitrust bar.

The speakers include Andrew I. Gavil, Howard University School of Law; Honorable William E. Kovacic, Federal Trade Commission; Sharis A. Pozen, chief of staff and counsel to the assistant attorney general, U.S. Department of Justice; and Steven C. Salop Georgetown University Law Center. The conference chairs are Don Klawiter, Sheppard Mullin, and Andrea Agathoklis, Freshfields Bruckhouse Deringer LLP.
