ABA Litigation Section Plans National Conference On Class Actions

The American Bar Association Section of Litigation has scheduled its 11th Annual National Institute on Class Actions.

The program will take place on Friday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at The Fairmont Chicago, 200 North Columbus Drive, Chicago.

The day-long conference will address the current issues in class litigation and will open with a presentation on the latest developments in class action case law by keynote speaker John C. Coffee, a professor at Columbia University Law School.

Panels of leading class action practitioners also will present sessions on the recent developments in class action certification motions in securities cases, the certification of nationwide classes, and how CAFA has changed class action practice.
