The American Bar Association presents its Third Annual National Institute on Internal Corporate Investigations and Forum for In-House Counsel. The event will take place Wednesday through Friday, May 4-6 at the Millennium Broadway Hotel, 145 West 44 Street in New York City.
Day one begins at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 5:15 p.m. Day two starts at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Day three begins at 8:30 a.m. and the conference adjourns at 3:00 p.m.
Now more than ever, corporate investigations are a centerpiece of corporate compliance, risk management, government investigations defense and litigation strategy. Evolving government agency standards and guidance concerning voluntary disclosure are only a small part of public and privately held corporations' needs to assess the conduct of officers, directors, employees, and contractors and their impact on corporate liability.
The national institute will bring together leading practitioners and in-house counsel to address the legal, ethical, marketing, strategic, and managerial considerations to guide participant's decision-making. Experts including auditors and investigators will share their valuable experience and insights into the issues in conducting corporate investigations.
The keynote speaker is Preet Bharara U.S. attorney, Southern District of New York.
