2008 American Corporate Counsel Annual Meeting in Seattl

This year's annual meeting of The American Corporate Counsel Association will take place beginning Sunday, October 19 until Wednesday, October 22 in Seattle, Washington. The Washington State Convention and Trade Center will host the event, with an opening reception on Sunday at 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., concluding with lunch on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

The theme of this year's meeting is "Informed. In-house. Indispensable." Sessions will run throughout the three days of the convention that range from roundtable to panel to targeted presentations, on a multitude of tracks intended to address every level of in-house counsel interest.

Examples of sessions for 2008 include Climate Change for Business, presented by Mellissa Allain, Laboratory Counsel, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Thomas Bishop, Vice President and General Counsel, Southern Company; Ethics Supersession, led by Susan Hackett, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, ACC and Milton Regan, Professor of Law and Co-Director, Georgetown Law School; and Companies in Crisis: Ethical Issues Faced by Boards and Their Counsel, a panel led by Jim Lord, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Michael McCloskey, Foley & Lardner LLP and Lauren Neiswender, General Counsel, Blue Nile, Inc.
