Jim Lippie, CEO of SaaS Alerts joins host Richard Levick of LEVICK to discuss their newest cybersecurity report that details heavier than usual cyberattacks on small and medium size businesses that are originating from locations in Russia and China. The report analyzes more than 136 million Software as a Service (SaaS) security events across 2,100 businesses and 120,000+ employees. The jump in attacks occurred over the last few weeks and is a significant increase compared to previous months. It shows that the vast majority of attacks on top SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack and Dropbox are originating from the countries of Russia and China. Jim discusses a number of the report’s key findings and that each of these activities pose a significant threat vector as they potentially open pathways for malicious attacks if not properly monitored and managed.
