As the official publisher, West is the exclusive official source for NYCRR in print, CD-ROM and online via Westlaw . This contract was the result of a competitive bidding process. West has been the official publisher of NYCRR and the New York State Register since 1995.

"Together West and the New York Department of State will continue to provide legal practitioners and other professionals with the quality of information they have grown to expect and depend upon," said Mark Capaldini, vice president, Government Segment, Thomson West.

Thomson West has announced Case Evaluator on Westlaw, a new research feature that goes beyond a typical search and returns only the desired results unique to each query. With Case Evaluator, for the first time litigators can build a fact base representing the outcomes of comparable cases - including verdicts, awards, relevant medical and expert witness data, and other criteria - and then generate Westlaw reports that can help sharpen legal strategies for the matter at hand. Case Evaluator enables users to select the criteria, jurisdiction and parameters so each report fits the unique type of case and fact profile.
