WESFACCA this month has scheduled a series of CLE seminars on issues including corporate law, employment law and immigration law.
On Tuesday, March 8, WESFACCA will present a program titled How to Dismantle a Privilege Bomb: Workshop for the In-House Guardians from 9 a.m. to noon at GE Commercial/Vendor Financial Services, 10 Riverview Drive, Danbury, CT.
Fred Knopf, a partner at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, will cover a variety of topics including:
- In-House Privilege and Its Practical Application, Including Real Life Examples;
- New Developments in Document Retention and Record Keeping;
- Dealing With Adversaries and Regulators;
- Protecting the In-House Client.
On Wednesday, March 16, WESFACCA is offering a seminar titled Safeguarding Confidential Information: Legal Strategies to Prevent Competitors From Gaining Access to Your Employees, Independent Contractors and Others With Confidential Information from 9 a.m. to noon at the Woodway Country Club, Darien, CT. This program originally was scheduled on January 26 but was postponed due to snow.
Speakers will be Barry Water and Theresa Parietti, both of Murtha Cullina LLP, and Michael DiMattia, McGuireWoods. They will discuss issues such as employee noncompetition, nonsolicitation, anti-privacy and confidentiality agreements; vendor confidentiality agreements; unfair trade practices claims; the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, and common law claims, including tortious interference claims.
On Tuesday, March 22, WESFACCA has scheduled a course titled Surviving the Immigration Law Revolution: Don't Let Your Employees Get Stuck in the Revolving Door from 9 to 11 a.m. at the WESFACCA Conference Center, 970 Summer Street, Stamford, CT.
Jo Anne Alderstein and Meredith L. Zeigar, both of Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP, will discuss new PERM procedures for getting green cards that go into effect on March 28, including anticipated changes for non-immigrant visas.
