WESFACCA Readies Three Seminars For September CLE Claendar

WESFACCA, the Westchester/ Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America, this month will launch its fall schedule of CLE seminars with three programs.

On Thursday, September 9, WESFACCA will present a session titled Best Practices Roundtable from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pitney Bowes, Stamford, CT. Jim Merkler of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) will review ACC website resources. The session also will cover the use of a legal department to provide information to clients, the use of webinars for training and to provide legal education to clients, and other Internet legal resources.

On Tuesday, September 21, WESFACCA is offering Best Practices in Cross-Border Employment & Human Resources: Strategies for the Global Era from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club, Greenwich, CT.

At this session, Mike Album and Don Dowling of Proskauer Rose LLP will cover topics such as global trends in executive compensation, and trends in compensating executives globally; why and how multinationals are streamlining and overseeing the global workforces; trends in global employment laws and human resources issues; cost effective compliance with laws, codes of conduct, and ethics rules in worldwide workforces, and how developments in European Union affect multinational organizations.

On Wednesday, September 29, WESFACCA has scheduled Doing Business in China from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a location to be announced. Speakers will be Neil Torpey and Mitch Dudek, Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP, and others to be announced.
