
The Venable Foundation announced today it has awarded $817,500 in grants to 112 nonprofit organizations across the U.S. during the first half of 2025. Additionally, the Foundation marked the one-year anniversary of Venable’s Denver office by extending grant eligibility to nonprofits within the city.
Grant distributions included:
- Washington, DC: $252,500 to 31 organizations
- Baltimore: $180,000 to 24 organizations
- New York City: $225,000 to 32 organizations
- Los Angeles: $65,000 to 9 organizations
- Miami: $25,000 to 3 organizations
- Chicago: $22,500 to 5 organizations
- San Francisco: $47,500 to 8 organizations
“These organizations directly enhance community life and address vital needs," said Michael Bigley, director of the Venable Foundation. "Expanding our support to Denver underscores our ongoing commitment to communities nationwide.”
Grants are typically around $10,000 and are awarded to organizations whose missions align with Venable’s eight priority areas: arts and culture, education, environment, health, human services, legal services, workforce development, and youth impact.
The Venable Foundation recently marked its 40th anniversary, distinguishing it as one of the longest-standing and most charitable law firm foundations in the United States.
