Sheppard Mullin Adds IP and Life Sciences Trio from Perkins Coie

Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP has added three new partners—David Fournier, Allison Glasunow, Ph.D., and Kourtney Mueller Merrill—to its Intellectual Property and Life Sciences practice. All previously practiced at Perkins Coie.

Fournier focuses on patent litigation, FDA compliance, and patent term extensions. Glasunow works on patent strategy in immunotherapy, gene-editing technologies, and diagnostics. Mueller Merrill advises clients on patent disputes before key regulatory bodies, including the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the International Trade Commission.

Firm Chair Luca Salvi emphasized the technical capabilities of the new hires. Life Sciences co-leader Lorna Tanner highlighted their combined experience in patent litigation and regulatory compliance.

The additions bolster the firm’s capabilities in biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
