Central Pennsylvania ACCAPlans Day-Long CLE Seminar



The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America on Thursday, May 20 will present a day-long CLE seminar titled Cutting Edge Issues for In-House Counsel 2004: Adapting Corporate Counsel Techniques in Changing Times.


The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wildwood Conference Center, 3300 Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA.


At the opening segment, Barley Snyder, attorney at law, will offer Hot Topics in Real Estate, including a discussion of revisions to the Pennsylvania Realty Transfer Tax, environmental liability issues for landowners, and other current real estate trends.


Robert M. Unterberger, founder and president of Legal Writing Success, will offer tips to improve legal writing.


Dr. Gary E. Bolton of Penn State University will conduct a presentation titled Getting More Through Integrative Negotiation, Participants will be asked to take part in a mock multiple issue negotiation that illustrates the basic issues and principles, followed by a discussion of how to handle multiple issue negotiations to take home the most value possible.


The luncheon speaker, Kenneth Halgreen, executive director of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers of Pennsylvania, will share his knowledge and personal experiences on the good and bad of stress, which stressors we can do something about and which we can't, and how to address stressors such as perfectionism, worry and resentments.


In the afternoon, Stephen M. Foxman, Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, will offer a Technology Law Update. This session will provide an overview of current developments and trends in the Internet and computer law area, focusing on spam, privacy law, security and electronic contracting.


To conclude the day-long seminar, Russell L. Schetroma, Culbertson, Weiss, Schetroma and Schug, P.C., will present a discussion on Multi-Jurisdictional Practice.
