With nearly everyone working from home, the legal question of who has access to the information people record on company-owned computers used primarily or exclusively in their homes becomes a highly contentious issue. Can companies track information if the company owns the electronic device but the devices are used primarily in people’s homes and include personal information from health care records to financial information?

This was about to become a significantly litigated issue regardless of the coronavirus and now will become a highly contentious issue post-pandemic.
