Webcast: Competition & Regulatory Scrutiny in the ‘New Normal’

DATE & TIME

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET

Event Details

As the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, and the world adjusts to the "new normal," there is mounting evidence of a shift in approach by regulatory enforcement agencies around the world. Industries that have historically been at lower risk of investigation are coming under increasing scrutiny – and the tactics used by regulators are changing.

In this webcast, a panel of experts will facilitate a discussion – and answer questions – about the evolving landscape of regulatory scrutiny in 2022 and beyond including:

  • The increasingly aggressive stance of regulators on merger review matters – from the DOJ and FTC in the US to the CCB in Canada, the CMA in the UK, and the European Commission
  • The rise in corporate investigations – how they are being conducted, what type of conduct are regulators targeting, and how companies can prepare themselves
  • And for each of these topics:
    • The role of advanced analytics tools and artificial intelligence in identifying relevant and privileged data
    • The dual challenges posed by remote work and newly emerging styles of communication – including Teams, Slack and WhatsApp

CLE credits will be applied for immediately following the webcast to the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CT, GA, IL, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY, RI, TN, TX, and WI. Please be sure to answer all required pop-ups and fill in your state and bar number in the survey. For questions, please contact Jennifer Coniglio, VP, Events and Special Projects, [email protected].
